 Newhouse Development Group handled pre-development work and the comprehensive market study for this 55,000 square foot, 48 unit multi-family complex.  Planned from the ground up specifically to meet the Passive House (Passiv Haus) Building Energy Standard, this complex provides a super healthy living space with a 75-90% reduction in energy use compared to typical construction.  Building to the Passive House Standard will dramatically lower future operating costs and will literally insulate the residents against rising energy costs.

This project was developed in partnership with the Passive House Institute US and the City of Urbana, and was submitted to the Illinois Housing Development Authority for federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
